Gérard Depardieu spotted in North Korea after rape accusation
Weeks after being accused of rape, French actor Gérard Depardieu mysteriously appeared in Pyongyang, North Korea, on Sunday.
He was spotted at a military parade â" marking the countryâs 70th anniversary of its founding â" with an entourage including French writer Yann Moix.
Itâs unclear if he was an invited guest or simply a spectator.
Depardieu, 69, attempted to conceal his identity with a hat and sunglasses. He was also wearing a white shirt with several top buttons undone.
The star, perhaps best known for his roles in âHamletâ and âCyrano de Bergerac,â was accused of raping a 22-year-old actress in late August.
The alleged incident took place in one of his Paris residences and left the woman âdevastated.â
Depardieu, who was once an escort and grave robber, denies any wrongdoing and his lawyer believes his clientâs innocence will be proven.Source: Google News North Korea | Netizen 24 North Korea
